Companies I Belong To: Lovecreek Productions: Love Creek Productions (LCP), founded in 1985, is an artistic community where emerging and established theatre professionals of all disciplines develop their skills and creativity through practical experience with a variety of dramatic forms and theatrical material. Emphasizing the craftsmanship of the playwright, Love Creek has always welcomed those original works which explore the unique and vital multi-cultural voices that are often outside the theatrical mainstream. Just as we produce groundbreaking new work which seeks to challenge the seasoned theatregoer, we insist that more conventional work must be nurtured as well, for simple human treatment of fundamental problems will help the theatre to address a broader public and attract the new audience it so desperately needs.                                                                                                                                                                                                             The schedule extends throughout an eleven-month season, making Love Creek one of the most prolific showcase producers in New York City, according to Actors' Equity. In addition, the company continues to forge vital, creative partnerships with established and emerging playwrights, including the presentation of two world premiere productions by Pulitzer Prize winner D.L. Coburn, the successful Off-Broadway run of Bill Elverman's controversial crime drama The Mask and the annual Short Play Festival. Love Creek Productions is dedicated to providing theatre artists with as many opportunities as possible to practice their respective crafts. Each season we present fully staged productions through LCP's Mainstage division, workshop and developmental productions through our Developing Acts division, classical works through our Foolish Mortals division, special projects through our Etcetera Theatre Company division, and hundreds of performances each year of one-acts through our Brief Acts division. www.lovecreek.org   The Michael Chekhov Theatre Company :  The Michael Chekhov Theatre Company was named by Founder and Producing Director Michael Horn in dedication to the late Michael Chekhov, one of the Moscow Art Theatre's most renowned actors and directors. He was also a revered teacher whose influence continues to spread across the globe. While the company does not exclusively use his approach and methods, we, as a group of actors, writers and directors, call on his unique spirit and commitment to imagination as a springboard to grow as dramatic artists.
